Golf Lesson Scheduling Policies
Scheduling & Payment
Scheduling is conducted through the website, either at time of payment or later when scheduling the remaining lessons.
Payment is first required before a lesson is scheduled. To purchase a lesson:
1. Click on the “Book a Lesson” page,
2. Select the applicable lesson option
3. Submit personal details
4. Make payment
5. Select a date in the calendar
6. Select a time in the pop-up box
If there are no times suitable, select an alternate date. Once a date and time has been selected, a confirmation email is sent to both the student and Lortan Golf.
At the purchase of a single lesson or a multiple lesson package, the student will receive a confirmation email with a Booking Code. This booking code may be used again later to book the lesson:
1. Click on the “Book a Lesson” page
2. Scroll down and click on the blue box marked “Redeem Coupon or Package”
3. Enter the code
4. Select the option “Private Golf Instruction” (Adults, Juniors or Kids as applicable)
In unusual circumstances where the student is unable to view the website, has left it too late or similar situations, scheduling may be done by phone, email or text. These forms of contact may not be attended to immediately, mostly due to teaching commitments, and will be responded to as soon as possible.
Cancellations
The website will not permit a student to reschedule or cancel a lesson on the day of the lesson.
In this situation, if the student chooses to not attend (No Show) or cancel the lesson (verbally or by email/text), then that lesson will no longer be available for rescheduling to a later date as the system considers the lesson void.
Rescheduling
A lesson may be rescheduled any time up to the day before the lesson. Lortan Golf appreciates and understands that unforeseen circumstances occasionally arise that require a lesson to be re-scheduled. We kindly request that re-scheduling:
Is kept to a minimum, or made greater than a week out
Is processed as soon as possible to allow other students a greater opportunity to take the time slot
Be made mindful that weekends and late afternoon times are most sought after and typically unlikely to be re-booked close to the date
Inclement Weather
Texas has somewhat unpredictable weather, so the late onset of rain and colder temperatures often makes postponement of a lesson the smart choice.
The choice to attend a lesson in light rain and/or lower temperatures is at the primary discretion of the student.
To reschedule, contact Michael by phone/text (not email) at (817) 583-3076. If no contact is made, the lesson will be conducted as scheduled.
Course/Range Conditions
Heavy rains and waterlogged conditions are the most common cause of facility closure. The break-down of the ball collecting vehicle may be another cause.
If the short game practice area and/or range is closed or temporarily inaccessible, the student will be notified by phone, voicemail, and/or text.
Every attempt will be made to provide this notification before the student commences travel to the course. The lesson will be rescheduled to a convenient time.
Student Late Arrival for a Lesson
At the discretion of the Instructor, and depending on time availability at the end of the lesson, an attempt will be made to make up the lost lesson time.
No Shows
The non-attendance of a scheduled lesson, or failure to provide reasonable notice of the need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, will result in the forfeit of the lesson. No refund will be given and a reschedule will not be granted.
