AIM & ALIGNMENT
Aim & alignment are often the most overlooked aspects of golf instruction, yet they are crucial for successful shots and lowering scores.
Many golfers focus on improving their driver, pitching, chipping, putting, and bunker shots but overlook the importance of proper alignment. In fact, only 1 in 8 golfers on the range are aligned correctly, and that number drops to 1 in 15 without alignment aids like markers or sticks.
Almost ALL golfers using alignment aids in practice are not using them correctly to improve their aim.
Incorrect alignment is often the root cause of inconsistent swings, leading to common issues like hooks and slices. For example, a well-executed shot right of the target is often misinterpreted as a push, rather than being diagnosed as faulty aim.
The goal is to create a clear setup routine that ensures proper alignment of feet, hips, and shoulders with the target. This helps reduce anxiety and boosts confidence in your swing. Correct alignment is key to improving swing dynamics, plane, and follow-through.
